Dixie

Owner: Janice N. Chapman Paint

Dixie was purchased through the Price Horse Sale in Alva Oklahoma 21 Nov 2010. The picture does not show well but she is malnourished and thin. She has a nice build to her so our goal is to get her to gain weight and get her medically sound and healthy. She is just a pretty mare and since we do have a stall where we can keep a constant eye on her we decided to purchase her and get her healthy once again. Hopefully the fact that she is relativity young that she will bounce back in a couple of months from her emaciated condition to a beautiful, healthy, happy animal. She has come along nicely and soon I will
be posting a comparassin picture.

This is Dixie after 6 weeks and 3 days.
She is coming alog nicely and has gained a lot of weight. I expect her to be fully recovered physically in another month. However there are some mental issues and emotional scars that are begining to surface and are being delt with using natural horsemanship methods.
